So I've got some bad news...

I have to cancel the NYC and LA shows during the first week of March. Originally, I thought that the new record would be all done in February, and I'd have some real time to rehearse a new band with all of the new material. The idea was that these shows would be the unveiling of all the new songs. As it works out, I'm still finishing up in the studio and not even close to getting a band ready for those shows. Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that this record has to be the most important thing in the world to me right now, and I have to focus on it and it alone until it is done. These shows are just a couple of nights, but I have to live with this record for the rest of my life.

For those of you who bought tickets, I'm so sorry. Nothing is more important to me than fans, and I've never done anything like this. Even when I've been deathly ill or had to do an overnight drive halfway across the country, I've never cancelled a show in my whole career. I wanted to have a incredibly well-rehearsed, amazing new show with tons of new material, and that can't happen while I'm still finishing the record. I've never been so proud of any music I've made, and I really don't want to play it until it's just right. I hope you understand and know that I'm going to reschedule these shows and do it right for you. Tickets are refundable at point of purchase, so it's not a hassle to have to deal with getting your money back.

In the meantime, I'm gonna go finish this record so that I can get out there playing shows soon.
