The goal is the same for all of us, but how the goal is achieved is what dictates our principles.
I wrote that the other day while arguing with myself into my notebook about why some people find it so easy to ignore things like honesty and loyalty and still seem to carry on appearing just as comfortable as anyone else, while others, as in my case, can be accused of being, "Loyal to a fault" and "Brutally honest." Both of these are attributes of mine because of how uncomfortable I would be in my own conscience if I were anything but.
For me that is the goal, comfort. Comfort in my conscience, with my family, in my home, in my career, in my life and when I die. All in all, I believe we all just want to be comfortable and it seems to be the goal that we are all searching and fighting for. The difference in people isn't what we're looking for. I think the difference is in whether we are willing to make others uncomfortable getting there.
