Hey guys,

Back in September, I agreed to do some work for the San Diego Songwriter's Guild. In exchange for my efforts, I would be given an honorary one year membership. So, I wrote some articles, did some campaigning, and agreed to judge and help plan a Song Competition.

That offer for an honorary one year membership turned into them asking me to attend board of directors meeting. The first meeting I attended, I was informed that Tim Turner had vacated his position of Vice President, and Sandi Shaner, my friend, my pal, my soul sista, made he the motion to nominate me as Vice President for the remainder of the 2009 year, and all were in favor.

So the night of the Song Contest, not only was I judging, but making my appearance as VP for the first time, and also I received my nomination for Vice President for the 2010 calendar year, and all were in favor.

So now, it is my distinct honor to be serving our local songwriters by being Vice President of the Guild.
