Ok, so I didn't really just buy a new computer, I just bought all the new parts to build a new computer, and it's gonna be a pretty darn nice computer if you ask me...

For the tech savvy, here's the specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester 1GHz HT Socket 939 Dual Core

Motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD

Case: Antec Performance I P180 Silver ATX Mid Tower

Memory: CORSAIR XMS PRO 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit System Memory

Power Supply: Cooler Master RS-550-ACLY-SLI ATX12V/EPS12V 550W

Video: PNY Geforce 660 256MB DDR PCI Express x16

Printer: Canon IP4200 Color Photo Printer

And I'm tossing in a 6 month old Sony Dual-Layer DVD burner, and my 120GB Western Digital 3.5" 7200 RPM internal hard drive.

Future additions to the system will include upgrading the hard drive to a WD 10,000 RPM 150GB hard drive, and getting a decent LCD monitor, a nice wireless LAN card, and probably another USB 2.0/Firewire 800 PCI card. And some surround sound speakers for it as well...

Nice - Well not so much on the printer =) one thing I'd suggest since you are spending a fair amount of money on the computer is to create a raid 0 with your 120 gb hard drive that way loading files off the hard drive is 2x the speed (you'll also notice a big difference loading applications/games/ win xp etc..)
