Original
and enthralling lyrics over timeless melodies....
This
band is hauntingly brilliant, each gig of theirs could give you goose bumps and
leave you with a sense that something otherworldly has happened. I Draw Slow is
a five-piece outfit comprising vocals, guitar, fiddle, banjo and double bass.
Holden siblings Dave (guitar) and Louise (vocals) have been writing together
for two decades. The Sound is a blend of alt-country, folk, roots, old-time &
Americana. The five have created a new sound, rooted in the old time style of
the Appalachian Mountains. The bands long awaited debut album Downside is a new
songbook of stories with melodies that last lifetimes. www.idrawslow.com
. Support on the night is from Cristof Van Der Van, a one man rockn and rollin
folk machine. Hailing from Holland he has set up shop in Galway and in only two
years has established himself as a man to watch. He has recently supported the

Explosive
6-piece bluegrass outfit. ....
This explosive
6-piece London and Edinburgh based folk and bluegrass outfit is making a
special appearance with us for a special one and only Irish gig this year. This
band is not only a hansom line up of mandolin clad troubadours, they know there
music, and its infused with original lyrics, old-time style and wit. Strong
harmonies sail over an expertly played line up of double bass, guitars,
mandolin, banjo and fiddle. Belfast man Pat McGarvey has inspired something
magic with his original writing from an age where folk was born. With two
acclaimed albums under their belt they have played high end roots festivals
across many waters and their music has been described as roots music that knows
no boundaries. "A delicate, bruised collection of bluegrass, country &
gospel" Uncut. Lisa O’Neill hot on the heels of her debut album release. She
has a truly unique talent in crafting quirky, gripping & honest lyrics. www.southerntenantfolkunion.com www.myspace.com/lisaconeill ....

Lost Brothers at the moment don’t seem too lost right now. The have landed on
their feet and are taking over the country with their unique and hypnotic
modern folk / americana tunes.
After trials and tribulations in other bands that took them touring
around the globe they began to write together and the songs came pouring out.
Their sound has been described as "ragged Simon and Garfunkel" ,
"cosmic Everly Brothers" and "Velvet and Garfunkel". This
gig is following an Olympia gig where they are supporting Richard Hawley. www.myspace.com/thelostbrothersmusic....
