These recently uploaded songs are demos from what was to be the William Wilson ep. The intention was to revisit older forms of rap while distorting newer ones (i.e., the chopped & screwed Bonnie Prince Billy Beat or the cheesy synth stuff). They were also an attempt to move further away from the sci-fi themes that dominated much of the Nexus stuff. The demos were recorded to a Yamaha MT4X (analog 4track) and created, from what I remember, with: a SP 505 (sometimes a SP 202, too) and various unlicensed samples, a cheap Casio Keyboard, a Kaoss Pad, a SG played through a Vox wah and a Fender Hotrod Deville, and a SM57. And most importantly, these beats were blessed with rhymes from the mind of BJ Wilson.
