ELIZABETH ANNE GREENWELL

Dear Mrs Robert F. Kennedy,

Re - Invitation to Celebrate 40 Years of the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial

I warmly congratulate you on this historic, remarkable and momentous occasion.

As one who has had the honor of being nominated for the RFK Human Rights Award, I am deeply appreciative and mindful of the depth and scope of the work of this Foundation.
The Kennedys are a truly remarkable, outstanding, and gifted family, with a long standing history of dedication to, and work for, humanity. So of course it is with grace and humility that I should receive this invitation from you, a woman of importance and note in your own right, as well as being the wife of one of history's great men, the late, much loved, admired, respected and remembered, Robert F. Kennedy. I thank you for that.

A papal medal from the late Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, was presented to me in 2001, by His Excellency, the Most Reverend Peter J. Cullinane, Bishop of Palmerston North, in recognition of my work "NO CHANCE TO PAINT THE CANVAS". He characterized the work a "channel of God's grace into the world."
In May 2006, I received a blessing from Archbishop Pietro Sambi, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States of America, in Washington D.C. In his letter, Archbishop Pietro Sambi made kind reference to the presentation of the papal medal and he reiterated Bishop Peter's characterization of the work.

It is my great loss that I am unable to make the journey from New Zealand at this time for this significant and important occasion.
However, I would like to, if I may, extend to you these papal blessings which I have received, and at the same time wish you, your family, friends and dignitaries, a marvelous day on this, your very special occasion.

Love, admiration, and respect,

Yours sincerely,

E A Greenwell ( Liz)
