Fred Thompson is blogging about the immigration bill and Fidel Castro -- and the Fairness Doctrine -- and Hugo Chavez. Quotable:
This has been a good day for America.

For a while, it didn't look like Washington was going to listen to us regarding real immigration reform. Thankfully, we've been spared a serious mistake, but I wonder if things would have turned out the way they did without the work done by the bloggers, talk radio and the American people. Rush, Hannity, Laura Ingraham, RedState, Powerline, Pajamas Media and a lot of others have done a great job. Take that, Fairness Doctrine.

Thank goodness Congress finally started to listen to us, the American citizens. it's about time!! I was listening to Hannity today and he was so appreciative of the American people. As am I because it's about time we stood up for what we wanted!! Thank you to the people who called in, faxed, emailed, blogged or whatever to get attention!! Let's do this more!

This man is the answer! I listen to his podcasts and after every one I am more and more impressed with his straight talk (unlike McCain) and his patriotism and the very fact that he sees the goodness in America where all others don't.

Fairness Doctrine? We don't need no steeenking Fairness Doctrine. The libs are distraught over the lack of interest in their messgae. Gee, wnder why?
It wouldn't be the loser menatality they project, would it? or the total lack of respect for our military? or the continuous drumbeat of defeat?
Naw..must be because the right has a monopoly on talk radio.

The scary part is, it didn't fail by a large enough margin to let me rest easy at night. There are too many on both sides fo the aisle that favored it for it to be completely dead. We need to nip it in the bud for good and get some real "border security" for our nation.

Fairness Doctrine = nobody wants to listen our boring, liberal rants, so we're going to take over the airwaves and force you to carry our shows anyways! And of course, we'll exempt tv, newspapers, and Hollywood from our concept of fairness.

Rock on, Fred!! You've got my vote!! Don't forget Dennis Miller - he's a tremendous conservative - very much in line with your ideas and Ted Nugent has all but fully endorsed you as his choice!

Can't wait to cast my vote for you!!! Keep up the GREAT work!!
