Shin Nishimura
Frustration
SCI+TEC - TEC028
inc.A.Mochi remix
12/May/09' release on Digital
- After the house sounds of Davide Squillace and Michele Tabucchi, via Mathias Kaden, on the last SCI+TEC release. The latest promo fro them see's a return to the dark side with a monster of a release from Japan's finest, Shin Nishimura. His 'Frustration' has been a mainstay in Dubfire's sets for some time now, and today comes backed by fantastic remix from A.Mochi.
Shin Nishimura, one of the leading Japanese DJ/Producers launched his career many years ago with his now famous PLUS parties in Shanghai. It was his 'Live In Shanghai' mix CD that announced him to the rest of the world, and enabled him to play some of the finest clubs across the globe. Now a headline artist back in the Japan, it is his music that is now making major waves. His 2008 release 'Rock The House' on DJinxx's Mezzotinto imprint, found huge support from the likes of Dubfire, John Digweed and Ken Ishi. His releases on his own PLUS Records, have enabled the label to build a great reputation in the techno world.
A.Mochi with his backround in rock music, is one of the most exciting Live/DJ artists to come out of Japan. His performances at Maniac Love are legendary. His production career took off in 2007 with his signing to Luke Slater's Mote-Evolver label. Releases followed on Hardsignal, Tremors, Francois K's WaveTec and Len Faki's Figure imprint. All have received huge support from the techno world's biggest names.
The first thing that you notice about Shin's original, is the unbelievable sound quality. Every sound and efx is crystal clear. The original goes kamakazi on our asses, bombarding us with relentless building and dropping synths and wonderful percussive going-on's! Be warned, if you are of a nervous disposition, this is not for you. If however you are out to blow people's minds..... drop it!
On the remix A.Mochi doesn' stray far from the original, but takes things down a level whilst keeping his foot firmly on the throttle.
