The American Botanical Council along with the organization Rainbow Light Nutritional Systems, a leader in national nutritional supplements, are hosting an herb walk led by Christopher Hobbs, LAc, AHG, Director of Herbal Formulation at Rainbow Light. Hobbs will give a tour of the ABC herbal medicinal demonstration gardens followed by a lecture and Q & A session at 6:30pm-8pm on July 1, 2009. The event will be preceded with a “happy hour” beginning at 6pm, which will feature refreshments such as herbal tea, filtered water, and snacks including local seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Christopher Hobbs is an internationally-renowned herbalist with over 30 years of experience in clinical herbs. He has written over 20 books including Foundations of Health: Healing With Herbs and Foods (Botanica Press,1992), Stress and Natural Healing: Herbal Medicines and Natural Therapies (Interweave Press,1997), Herbal Remedies for Dummies (Wiley, 1998), Women’s Herbs, Women’s Health (Botanica Press, 2nd edition 2007), Natural Therapy for Your Liver (Avery Trade, 2002), and he co-edited the American Herbal Products Association's Botanical Safety Handbook (CRC Press, 1998). Hobbs has been formulating exclusively for Rainbow Light since 1995. He also co-founded the American Herbalists Guild and often lectures at universities and conventions around the world.
