You plan what to say, what to put into your speeches...so what is the deal with checking if the 'facts' you are about to deliver, is even true or not? Both parties, both candidates and both potential VP's are equally to blame when it comes to this. Seriously, look it up. They have all spouted out things of themselves and of another that are either half true, barely true or an outright lie.
And THAT my friends is why most of us feel that we can't trust politicians. Sure they might have a great cause, but their lies make them lose their credibility. They are EACH responsible for checking their facts before they release them to America. So what's the problem?
Maybe they each need to hire a campaign/speech writer who will write a truthful campaign instead of a campaign that just 'sounds good'. Is it too hard to come up with a campaign that is both? Maybe the candidates just need to fact check the speeches before they whole heartedly agree to vomit it out of their mouths.
I have followed this campaign completely so far and I have read up on each candidate and their running mates...their biographies..about their spouses, children....career through their entire life...I have researched their voting history...quotes they have said in the past...even the history on their parents. I have watched their speeches, researched allegations made about them, read songs about them and even watched a video that made me wish I didn't have access to the internet at all.
(If you want to feel this same feeling, watch this:
)
I'm not ignorant just because I don't want to vote, but I am fed up. Again.
By the way, what's the big flippin deal about Palin's 17 unmarried daughter being pregnant? It has nothing to do with Mccain's running mate not executing what she believes...it's her teenager for $@! sake. 98% of teenagers are out of control and out of their minds. Raise your hand if you don't know someone personally who has been/is pregnant under the age of 18. Get the heck over it and stop actin surprised.
Disclaimer: As with most statistics that the candidates give out, that statistic was probably inaccurate as well.
I'm not against voting, but I am against dishonesty. It shouldn't be hard at all to run a honest campaign (I'm not even asking for a clean one). And until that happens, I'm just going to kick my feet up and sit back. Or maybe run for president myself..I take back what I said in my last blog. A woman would be perfect for running our country.
OH and another thing that drives me crazy is biased reporters/journalists/dipwads. SERIOUSLY SHUT THE $%@ UP. Learn to report news and coverage in a fact by fact manner. Leave your witless opinions out of it. Just because you have the power of the media and the attention of the American people, doesn't mean you should abuse it. That goes for CNN, FOX News...and whoever else can't properly do their job and stop ruining our country. That is NOT why the press was created.
I will kick somebody in the head.
