I have been thinking lately about what we know, i've come to the realization that it's not a lot. Almost everything we know comes down to your perception. Everything we know, and i mean absolutely know is from what we have experienced hands on. We say we know what our teachers teach us but what if they're wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. We know everyone is gonna die right? Well has everyone in the world died? No so for all we know some of us might not die. We know that there are bad people in the world, but they might not think they're so bad or else they probably wouldn't do what they do. What is a good band? The Beatles right? Well i used to think they were awful, and now i love them. I changed my opinion because my perception changed. I don't know why i'm writing this it's just been bugging me lately that we can only know what we have experienced, and sometimes that's even confused for other things. Like let's say I see people talking and i hear my name, it could mean they are talking about me or maybe someone else said my name and I just got confused but more than likely I will assume they are saying bad things about me just because that is human nature according to my perception. Back in the fifty's we were all certain that the communists were going to attack us at any moment and that nuclear radiation would turn people into giants and that Elvis Presley would lead to the decay of our country's moral fiber. Well now we know that the communists did not attack and that there was no cosmic radiation and that Elvis joined the army to fight for a country whos "moral authority figures" hated him. What made them the moral authority figures? More often than not it was either a place in the church or lots of money. Who is the modern day Elvis? What is the new cosmic radiation? Who are the new communists? What in fifty years will we look back on as huge mistakes of a paranoid xenophobic public? Do we have these modern day figures that you are supposed to blindly accept their opinions and leadership and let them do whatever is in the "publics best interest"?  Are we already feeling those effects of regret? Well we won't know until the peoples perceptions change but I think i could take some pretty good guesses. Anyway this is just something that i have been thinking about lately, comment if you would like, i would like to talk about this

I really understand that...looking back at myself over the years even, i can see that...
kinda like when you watch home videos.
when you're on stuff as a little kid, you're goofy and in the camera and think you're all cool
but looking back, you know you couldnt have been a bigger dork.
its strange...
and kinda cool...in a weird way...
