There are some important election issues. I'll try to address each topic very briefly.

CHANGE. Puppet and maverick are mutually exclusive terms. Both John McCain and Sarah Palin have opposed their own party leadership consistently prior to this campaign. The same cannot be said of Obama who has NEVER opposed his party leadership. Obama is a hack, not a leader. Therefore, the only change agents in this election are John McCain and Sarah Palin.

CHARISMA. Sarah Palin has far more appeal than Obama who seems arrogant and elitist. In other words, Obama is disdainfully prideful.

RACE. The accusation of racism is an issue contrived by Scam-ocrats intended to divert attention away from the shortcomings of their extremist candidate. In truth, racism in America is practiced primarily by blacks, not whites. Obama's religious mentors are racist against white people and jews.

EXPERIENCE. Sarah Palin has far more leadership experience than Obama. Sarah Palin served as governor of Alaska while Obama served as a legislator exclusively. A governor makes important executive decisions every day; a legislator makes NO executive decisions at any time. Executives act decisively. Legislators talk, talk, talk, and talk. Executives take responsibility for policy results. Legislators are held responsible for nothing.

VOTER FRAUD. Every vote should count. However, ACORN disagrees. ACORN believes that Scam-ocrat votes should count more than Republican votes. Obama, a lawyer and trainer for ACORN, cannot win a fair and legal election. Obama must engage in blatent VOTER FRAUD to win a presidential election.

FREE SPEECH. Liberals are entitled to their opinions. However, their opinions are not based on facts. Liberals are either misinformed or uninformed about presidential issues. I attribute their misdirection to the peer pressure to which they have been subjected. Liberals are not exercising their FREE WILL. They are a product of the SPIN machine. In other words, Liberals do not REALIZE that they have been COERCED by their puppetmasters. If they were to express a conservative opinion, then they would suffer consequences. Therefore, Liberals are frightened CONFORMISTS living lives of quiet desperation. Liberals are not courageous mavericks.

I could fill your myspace comment page with issue I have wit immigration. Let's just say that things are not equal in any form or fashion. My husband is from Great Britain and hell does not even start to explain what we have been through with them. There is no watch dog where this department is at work and the double standard that thrown into the faces of Europeans is enough to make even you sick.
 

I don't discount your comment at all about Iran. I try to stay current on world news, so get ready Germany will rise again soon, they've been planning it since WWII and this isn't a conspiracy theory. Russia is positioning themselves along with China, Korea and Venezuela.
Palistines have greatly hated us since 1948, when we stepped in with Britain to give Israel back. Palestinians had occupied Israel for 500 years, so you can understand their anger. Yet, it wasn't rightfully theirs. It would be like France coming over here and telling all of us to move, because they were giving all this land to the Native Americans. This is another reason for the influx of illegals. Mexico believes that almost the entire west and southwest regions of the US belongs to them. Countless times in their newspapers, their President and past Presidents have made such a comment. Like the Palestinians have been doing for some time now, they are positioning themselves right here on our soil.
All I'm saying is open your eyes to what's going on around us and don't trust our media.

Not long ago, a neighbor confided to Gene Scrutton that she feared expressing her conservative political beliefs in their left-leaning Southeast Portland neighborhood, where Obama-Biden signs sprout like mushrooms in one front yard after another.


That helped persuade Scrutton, a staunch Republican, to plant a gigantic Sen. John McCain campaign sign in his front yard. But in the blue center of a blue city, supporting the unofficial opposition can be a dangerous move, as Scrutton and his wife, Karen, discovered over the weekend.


On Monday, two 23-year-old men were arraigned in an attack that involved hurling a Molotov cocktail at the Scruttons' campaign sign early Saturday.


The fire did little damage, but in the midst of a heated presidential campaign, the story spread over the Internet, picked up by local media and national sites such as the Drudge Report.


The sign -- 4-by-8 feet on two 6-foot posts and charred at the bottom -- remains in the Scruttons' small front yard at the corner of Southeast 17th Avenue and Miller Street. It features a life-size photo of McCain and the words: "Courageous Service. Experienced Leadership. Bold Solutions.
"

It wasn't the first time the Scruttons have been targeted because of their political views. Nor was it the last.


Shortly after Gene Scrutton put the sign up last month, someone scrawled racist graffiti on the couple's van, which they believe was an attempt to paint them as bigots against Sen. Barack Obama. And Sunday, while Scrutton was in the front yard, someone in a passing car yelled profanity at him.


A Portland Fire Bureau spokesman said he didn't know the motivation for Saturday's attack, but Gene Scrutton thinks it was a clear attempt to intimidate McCain supporters and change their political views. He called it "domestic terrorism.
"

Scrutton is a big guy with a big voice, though, and he isn't afraid to share his opinion with anyone.


"Am I intimidated? No," he said, without waiting for an answer. "Are we scared? Not really.
"

Still, it was a frightening morning for the Scruttons.


Karen Scrutton was asleep near a ground-floor window about 10 feet from the sign a little after 1:30 a.m. Saturday when she was awakened by the sound of a beer bottle hitting the sign. She saw the flames and called for her husband, who was asleep upstairs.


Gene Scrutton called police and put out the fire with a garden hose. Within a few hours, two men were arrested, thanks in part to the Scruttons' son-in-law, Mark Ellison, a Marine who's served two tours of duty in Iraq and happens to live around the corner.


Ellison hid in some bushes and captured one of the suspects as he headed to a nearby pickup. The truck smelled of gasoline and was believed to be connected to the attack, Gene Scrutton said.


Leslie B. Luedtke and Kevin C. Robinson were charged with four counts each of manufacturing a destructive device and possessing a destructive device. Luedtke, who is accused of throwing the flaming bottle, also faces one count of reckless burning.


The Scruttons have been married for 31 years and operate a vacation rental business out of their home.


They raised four children in the house, working long hours selling Christmas trees each year to earn the money to send them to Catholic schools.


They're friendly with the neighbors, many of whom are Democrats.


"People in this neighborhood are very respectful," Karen Scrutton said. "They know we take kind of a minority view here in Sellwood.
"

Brian Milbauer has lived in a house across the street from the Scruttons for nearly a year. He called the attack "stupid" and "dangerous." And although he considers himself "very liberal," he doesn't mind the sign a bit.


"It's just a sign," Milbauer said. "If you're angry, you can vent that in a much more constructive way.
"

Thanks for doing the morally right thing and taking a stance against injustices on unpopular issues. I applaud your efforts to champion this voice on this particular subject, however it may just fall once again, on deaf democrat ears. This is a serious issue but so is the Berg case. There seems to be not enough attention on that case or ones like these, why?

If you dont believe me, get the paperwork from immigration which runs through Homeland Security, and in SECONDS you will have Zero DOUBTS as why people come here illegaly. ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY, and our GOVERNMENT is the WHORE, and through a ruthlessness that judges VALUE of human life by how much money they can afford to spend DETERMINES EVERYTHING in the DIFFERENCE between an ILLEGAL ALIEN, and a LEGAL ONE.

What the liberals do, and will continue to do is pander to those who are weak...We are seeing individual responsibility being eliminated before our eyes, and it is happening at an enormous rate. We are watching our country being converted from a democracy into a socialist government that is posing as a democracy...The liberals are taking control of all aspects of our lives, and what is so scary is how fast that they are doing so, and the fact that they are not really hiding the agenda...The reason that this agenda is not accepted by most as a movement toward socialism is that the very ones who are being targeted as a source of support for the agenda are following the liberals as a puppy would follow its master waiting to see what they will get next.  At one time, this was limited to the lower incomes that were looking for government give-a-ways, but that is a thing of the past.  During the great depression, people were standing in lines with the hopes of getting something to eat.  Now we have people standing in lines with hopes of saving their $500,000 homes.  The liberals are masters at what they do...They present themselves as the party of compassion, and that they are there to make sure you are taken care of by providing all you may need to make it your life easier... We, the people, do not need the government to make our lives easier.  That is not part of their job, and there is nothing in the United States Constitution that states that they should do so.  We, as individuals need to go through less than perfect times.  Through these times, we grow, and because of this process, we develop wisdom.  As a result, we are becoming a nation full of lazy people, that allows the government to not only prevent us from living life by our own term, but in fact is dictating exactly how we will live our lives.  
In the short time that President Obama has been in office, he has basically sealed his legacy...The overall damage is yet to be known, but he will be known as the President that accumulated the largest national debt in American history, put into place the most social programs, took control of the banks, the automobile industry, the American healthcare industry, (while possibly crippling the insurance and pharmaceutical companies) and in the process, took our country as far away from our fore-fathers vision as anyone ever would have predicted...Yet, those who are dedicated  to the party will accept whatever the party agenda may deliver and accept it with open arms.  The only factor that matters to them at all is that it is the Democratic Party...Nothing else... The truth, the facts, the consequenses, or even the good of the country is nothing more than an afterthought...
