The album is out for two days ahead of the official release date and already the web is swamped with reviews and opinions half a page long about a project spanning two + years of work. By no means is the time it take to complete a project a reference to how good it is, but then again, there is no reason to really take in to consideration the opinions of a critic who is supossed to cover the whole range of music coming through the paper he works for. Chances are, he might not like every type of music ,and there for, some musicians will always suffer his bashing of their music. And so you might see remarks like " they haven't changed, same old kickass drums, same old killer guitars, same old breathtaking vocals", and you think, what do they expect? for us to be some one we're not? Well, the truth ,it seems, is that they probobly don't like the genre, and instead of caging their ego and giving the job to some one who knows and appreciates the genre, they rather beat you down until you get a boob job that turns you into something they like (I have nothing against boob jobs). AINT GONNA HAPPEN!!!
So who's left? You.
The people who love this kind of music, the people who live for it and like nothing more than to turn up the volume and suffer brain damage and ear bleeds from violent screams, beating drums and grinding guitars. You have a say. We're in this together and what you think comes from a place we give a shit about. It doesn't mean we have to agree, but at least we know you were not trying to be witty with empty remarks.
We hope you'll enjoy this record as much as we did making it, and we hope to see you in the shows to come, celebrating this piece of work. You're the people who matter (to us anyway). You are The Jews.
Daniel
