So maybe this is delayed, but Happy New Year!  We're almost 3 weeks into '09 now but it's already been pretty sweet!  2008 went out with a bang, definitely a great year.  Got to spend Christmas with my family in our new house in North Carolina which was wonderful, and different spending 20 Christmas's in good old Downingtown, PA. But none-the-less, it proved to me the theory that home really is where your feet are, and I felt just as much at home there as I ever did.  But the holiday was short and sweet, as the day after Christmas I was headed up to New York to travel with the Paul Green School of Rock Music All-stars as one of their music directors.  This my friends, was an experience of a lifetime.
I grew up with School of Rock.  If it weren't for Paul and the school, there's no way on earth I'd be playing today, let alone writing this blog.  I've been able to put on hundreds of shows with them, get free guitars, tour with Jon Anderson from "Yes", it has just been such an incredible experience.  So when Paul asked me to join the tour as a music director, I couldn't have been more excited.  To guide these kids and to see them have th esame opportunities and feelings that I did was amazing. Watching them put on crazy awesome shows and getting to feel a part of that wa sjust too cool.  If you have not had the chance to check out the PGSORM, DO IT! You won't regret it.  They're incredible kids with incredible talents and I have no doubt that they will all become successes in whatever they want to do.  So that was the six days following Christmas.  Started in NYC, hit Vermont, Boston, Connecticut, Philly and ended at Asbury Park, NJ on New Year's Eve with the other two All-star teams...also where I much later found out why they call Tequila "Ta Kill Ya"! Being 21 isn't all its cracked up to be...
So that ended 2008, 2009 got off to a good start, SOLD OUT Chaplin's the Music Cafe with Liz Longley (www.myspace.com/lizlongley), and now here we are, back in Nashville, 2009, 3 days into the new semester (gotta do what I gotta do right?) and watching a light, fluffy snow fall out my window. My favorite kind of winter days.
Now with 2009, there are lots of new updates for you!
Numero uno: shows! If you're in Nashville, I've got some more writer's rounds coming up in the near future...February 14th at the Commodore Grille on West End, and March 24th at the historic Bluebird!  There will be more dispersed in there I'm sure, and I'll keep you all posted.
Numero dos: New projects! So in between my solo career and sharing the stage with Liz Longley, I've got another duo in the works with the amazingly talented, very good friend of mine, Justin Davis (who does not have a Myspace yet, but just watch out...KILLER guitar player and singer!) We've been writing and had our first show together in Philly over the break, and we can't wait to get things moving...so keep an eye out for that!  Hoping to lay some tracks down in the near future. But WE NEED YOUR HELP! We're looking for a name for our duo!  So any suggestions, leave em on my blog on on my wall!

I thought there was a Numero Tres, but it seems that there isn't. So with that said, everyone enjoy this snowy Nashville day, and leave some love and I'll get back to ya!
