ok... first of all, i hope everyone recognizes me... ive been gone for a minute. but im back :) with so many changes and so many new things happening in my life. its been a secret for a while, but im sure a lot of you know by now, im no longer signed to epic records. we came to a mutual agreement that i would be better off somewhere else. at first, i was a little bitter, i had regrets, i was angry, i was confused and lost. but i realized, that everything ive been through since the day i signed my contract on december 9th 2003, has somehow shaped me into the person i am today... its taught me how to live life to the fullest no matter what im going through at that point in time. the regrets i had are gone... if it wasnt for everything they gave me and every door they opened for me i wouldnt be where i am today. so to everyone who was involved with me in any way at sony, thank you from the bottom of my heart. i truly appreciate your efforts, your determination, and your friendship. on another note, i was introduced to someone while on my previous label named Ryan Tedder who is the lead singer of one of my favorite groups called one republic. hes been an enormous inspiration to me for the past few years, and as fate has it, i recently signed a new record deal with his label he just started. ive never felt more blessed and more humbled to have a second chance, not only to pursue my dream, but to do it with someone who truly believes in me and understands my passion and will help me get to exactly where i want to be. so, im sure a lot of you are wondering what will happen to all of the songs ive done in the past. unfortunately due to contractual obligation, i cant use the songs i recorded under the term of my deal with epic, but before you get too upset, i believe its a blessing in disguise. i found a new direction that i want to go in with my music that gives me so much more freedom and makes me really happy :) i hope you guys agree. its going to be a little more live sounding, i want to be behind my piano or guitar for most of the record. i wanna write or at least co write the whole album myself. if you, my fans, are going to be receptive to my music, i want it to be as much of ME as possible. i want you guys to know me through my music. i hope to accomplish that this time around :) so keep coming back to check for updates and new music clips! BY THE WAY, thank you guys soooo so much for all of the love on let it slide, the feedback has been amazing! and just incase you were wondering, that song WILL be a contender for my new record! anyway, i hope everyones 2009 is going to be everything you hope it will be. i feel like there will be a LOT of change this year. remember that YOU and YOU alone have the power to change your life.
