Mood Swing is here! THANK YOU BEYOND WORDS  Jeff Berkley of Berkley Sound is the shiz. Besides being one of Jonny and my closest friends, he's an ultra-talented man and one hell of a producer. He and the cast of musicians that added their magic turned over a dozen of my 3 chord game tunes into songs that I am really proud of. Plus, without him I'd never have known about The Game and the songs would have never been written. See? Matt Silvia encouraged me when I began writing. Without his help and patience I'd have given up for sure. It's amazing to watch songs come to life when he adds guitar and harmony... he's pretty genius, musically. Although I wrote all the words and music for these songs, they would be nothing without Matty's contribution. Shannon Judge-Mulhall is the brush behind ArtByShano.com, my beautiful cover. We went to highschool together in Lancaster, CA then reconnected via facebook 20 some years later to find we'd each become artists. I told her of my upcoming collection of songs and the idea I had for the cover and she painted it for me, only about a thousand times better than I'd ever imagined. She is pretty freaking incredible, check out more of her work.  Nicole Torres is a rock star who does graphic work on the sly. She let me lean over her shoulder and point and ask questions and give color suggestions and then she put it all where it should be and saved it as a file I'd never heard of. She is super smart and nice and she's got a new CD coming out soon. Besides months of scheduling musicians for the sessions, Lizzie Wann found some typos I'd made just in time... *whew!*  Friends on facebook answered my question "where can I get copies of my CD made for cheap?". I got tons of great suggestions and leads and spent weeks inquiring and searching for the best deal. Brian from CDs First was very nice to refer me to a company in Arizona that was the least expensive. Tracey from One Stop Media Shop from right here in San Diego was able to match that price and she was beyond easy to work with.   Randi Driscoll told me she once financed a CD with presales and sponsorships. I'd never even thought about that. I started looking around and noticed a lot of artists doing it. I decided to give it a try and was instantly overwhelmed with the love and support from everyone. I was able to get caught up and begin to see the light, then a surprise donation from Adam Paul afforded me the ability to use Gavin Lurssen of Lurssen Mastering. Happiness. My handsome husband gets high props, as usual, for putting up with and taking care of me. He and the rest of my family have been super supportive during this process... which can sometimes bring one to tears.  Mood Swing is special and I'm not just saying that because it's true. I'm saying it's because of all the people who put their talent, time, love and support into and around it. You can hear it in the culmination of emotions, styles and sounds and you should listen with headphones. You can listen to a few songs right now, in fact. Thanks to Sydney from Harmony Works, The Ordeal's Myspace Page has been updated and has a few of the new tunes posted. Let me know what you think! I love my band!
