Hullo chapettes and chaps,

The album is currently number 69 in the Amazon Mp3 albums chart and number 8 in the Itunes Electronic album charts.  Above Pendulum and Imogen Heap!  It doesn't matter how long this lasts and how fleeting but I'd like all DIY carousers to raise a glass and see it as a minor triumph for all the underdogs out there.  I'm feeling awfully subversive today.

Also, here are some more reviews for the record.  These ones are online blog ones:

I'm talking with rough trade about getting the record in physical form in their stores.  I think we're starting with a limited 25 and we'll see where it goes from there but will let you know anon when said plan hatches.  Probably in about a month.

I'm posting the full lyrics for the album on here soon.  Just need to scan them all in!

See you at Bestival.  I don't think I can play Bonjour Tristesse because it's too long...unless I bring a bottle of Cava and some back issues of Vanity Fair for the audience to while away the six minutes of minimal techno and nothing-ness.  The idea is growing on me, be warned.

Also...Thanks to everyone who has been downloading the album.  Please tell all your freinds and spread the love.  The more I sell, the more chance I will be able to fund a next record.

Beaucoup d'amour.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

P.S.S.  I'm getting even more excited with my new material.  Onwards and upwards.

I think the wearsthetrousers review is probably the most valuable there - it's someone with obvious critical faculties, willing to give an honest opinion, who thinks the album is Grade A. The 4ortherecord one is slightly fanboy, whilst the musicomh is a bit more hipster and impressionistic so doesn't really convince.

Times review was excellent too! Well done x 10!

That's totally brilliant news. I'm really happy for you and yes, it does offer hope to other DIYers out there. You have substance. It'll last. You'll go interesting places.

Congratulations.

Why does that twinkly bit on Bonjour Tristesse go terribly out of time in the middle and towards the end?  For me it is the only stain on an otherwise sublime record.   There's absolutely no need for it.

Anyway what do I know, you are the subversive one.   Seriously though, congratulations on getting it out there, I've been driving round in the boiling heat with it blaring.  Physical Education(part 1) is a real grower.

PS - One of those Baz Lurmann (sic) references really made me smile.  As if no-one but him has spoken on record before.

Then my friend reminded me he invented music.

Above Imogen Heap? Go Team Pringle!

You could crowd surf during the instrumental part of Bonjour Tristesse? ...no? Or maybe speak over it, reading reviews of your album maybe? Its all art ;)

You are so awesome. Even still I can't believe your wildly outrageous success! What the hell?! You are like magic or something!
