Read Genesis Chapter 4

 

In verse 7 it says"If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it."  I want to meditate a bit today on the last portion of this scripture.  It says, but you must master it!  It's interesting that later in the Word it talks about us resisting the devil, and not that we'll just automatically walk on him.  It's up to us, what we allow him to control in our lives.  Just as the Lord said here in Genesis, we have control over what sin we allow into our lives.  It's not because of your genetics that you fall short, or because of anyone else, it's your bad!  You can control and take dominion over the junk, or let it eat your lunch.

 

Let's choose today to walk in the favor and blessings of God, rather than choose the lesser road, and allow the enemy in.
