I've been letting the blog updates slip a little recently, but trust me, I've had lots of things to do and haven't had the time to share, but I have a few spare minutes, so here we go.
First off, for those of you who are unaware Lisa and I split up a little while ago, without going into details we just drifted apart as people and it became obvious that things just weren't going to work.
Secondly, I've been so very, very busy settling in at uni. It's not so much with the work load, which so far has been pretty relaxed, but more with socialising, getting used to doing the shopping, laundry and working out Liverpool's backwards bus system. Seriously, who would of thought that your most useful bus would stop at 6pm?! But apart from that I'm absolutely loving the city and really feel that once I have a job I will be truly settled. On an optimistic note Once I have a job I may start to look for a flat of my own, but this will be heavily dependent on finances.
Which brings me to my next point, work. I can't remember the last time I was without a job for this long. Sure having a student loan has helped me a bit, but I know full well that that will dry up soon and I'm going to be in quite a tough spot plus I haven't been able to afford luxuries like CD's, DVD's and video games for what feels like an age. But, here's were things get fun. As many of you who have tried to apply for work at this time of year will know pretty much all that's available is Christmas temp jobs. Unfortunately for me, that may mean that I'm going to be in Liverpool for Christmas. Whilst this doesn't worry me so much, I know there was a lot of people I wanted to say hi to and who were hoping to see me reasonably soon. If it comes to me being up here for December then I will do my best to get down for a weekend, but please bear with me on that one and don't forget that you are more than welcome to come up here and visit.
Apart from general concerns with the state of the kitchen in my flat (grrrrr), everything is going okay. I hope you are all well, feel free to send me a message, text, email or a phone call at any time, I hope to speak to you all soon.
