This is a sad, sad day in American history. Tonight between the hours of 7:00 and 8:00p.m., the House of Representatives passed the "Cap and Trade" bill. For those of you who haven't been keeping up with what's going on, this is the carbon tax that will destroy what little economic stability we have left. It promises to create 1.7 million new "green" jobs. But, 2.2 existing jobs will be lost for every 1 job created. And only 10% of the new jobs are permanent. This "green" plan has already been tried in other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Spain and others with no success. For you that live in Tennessee, we have two Senators (Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander) and nine State Representatives (Congressmen). Six of the nine voted no on the bill, but the three that voted yes (Jim Cooper (D), Bart Gordon (D), Steve Ira Cohen (D)) need to hear our voice. I don't know about you, but I don't have an extra $3200 laying around that I have no use for. That's the average increase per household that this bill will impose annually. My friends, the time has come. WE HAVE GOT TO STAND UP AND SAY NO MORE!!!!!!!! STOP SPENDING MY MONEY!!! I'm being taxed to death, all so that our so called government can build a tunnel for some turtles or get in to the car industry. This latest bill still has to make it through the Senate to be put into law. I urge, no I emplore you to get in touch with your Senators and tell them that if they pass this piece of unconstitutional trash that you will do everything in your power to make sure they won't be able to get voted as dogcatcher. I honestly think that the majority of our Congressmen have never even read the Constitution. Do me a favor, pick up a copy if you don't have one and take the time to read and understand what it says. Pay close attention to the tenth ammendment. I don't care if your a Democrat or a Republican, we are all in the same boat and it's going down fast. I, personally, consider myself neither. I'm sick and tired of the dog and pony show that they put on for the crowd, only to retire into the back room afterwards for a bunch of backslapping and cigar smoking. THEY WORK FOR US!!! Don't ever forget that. We are the bosses. It's time they start feeling job-scared like the rest of us.
