Top Reasons for NOT Going to the Reunion:

* I don't know who's going.
Well now you do! Now that the list is available, you can check it out for yourself. At the time of this typing, the event is planned for between 180 and 200 people. Now let's put that into perspective. I am willing to put money on the fact that there are more people that are going than you have time to talk to that night!! Likely, there are more people that you recognize and would like to catch up with than you have time to do so.

* I still hang out with the same people I did in high school and those are the people I want to see.
OK…so it's allll about you.  Sometimes, it's not. Sometimes there is someone else who really wants to know how you are doing but doesn't know how to contact you.  Sometimes there are friends that you hung around with, but not as close; they want to find out how your life has been too. I'm willing to bet you lost quite a few friends after high school, just because you naturally went different paths. There are more people that remember you and want to know who you are now than you realize. Bottom line is, you being there will make the event even better for the other alumni, and even make it great for some!

* It costs a lot of money.
Well on this one I will have to say that it is an unexpected payment that you otherwise would not have made. We also know that there are many out there going through particularly hard times right now due to market changes, and my heart goes out to these alumni. However for the rest of you, the ticket price is again all a matter of perspective. According to some research that we have found about recent past Ayala reunions, we have been told that people paid $75-80 to attend their event, not including alcohol. Much love to these committees too, we know how frickin hard it is to push for a successful event for everyone! For the Class of 97, we have a spectacular venue, and 2 hours of drinks paid for to go around, tip included. Besides that, I'll bet there are a few of you out there that would otherwise go to the same old local watering hole and put down $40-$70 (maybe more) on your tab this very Saturday! That being the case, wouldn't that imply that the cost of your reunion ticket is only realistically about $20-$50 more than you would have spent doing what you normally would have done (perhaps even free)? This meager additional fee includes so much value, including food, old friends, entertainment, and the nature of it being a one time event. Think about it.

* I don't like so-and-so.
….aaannnddd???  So what?  Don't talk to them…or maybe talk to them and find out they are no longer the rude person they were back in the day. Shoot, maybe they remember being mean to you and want to apologize. We all have 10 years of maturity since high school. We can't expect to be walking into the exact same crowd we left!

* I really liked so-and so in high school.
Well, maybe they've married, maybe not…but you won't find out if there is something still there if you don't go and find out.

* I've not done anything significant, like find the cure for cancer or something
Most people do not impact the world so significantly.  I'm willing to bet over 95% of us are in that same position. Just leave the pressure at home of having to tell a story about how you're a Cowboy-Astronaut-Millionaire-- or how you invented Post-its!

* I gained/lost a lot of weight.
Yeah you and 3 million other people.  Join the party.  Who cares… I mean, really, who cares?  People don't go to reunions to check out who is larger or smaller.  They are there to socialize with you and listen about your life, and to have FUN!!

* I don't have a ride.
Another REALLY lame excuse.  Contact us and we'll send out an email to see if someone can help get you there.

You will find people have married, divorced, died, remarried, never married, returned to a maiden name, have or adopted kids, or no kids, moved around the world, become hermits, have debilitating illnesses.

Even if you THINK you are 'not interested' in YOUR reunion – a reunion provides a vision for the future.

            What has happened in the past 10 years of your life ... ?

Have you traveled the world around…?

Have you sipped margaritas on the beach at sunset on foreign shores... ?

Have you loved someone…?

Has your family grown - kids - cat – dogs… ?

Have you 'lost' someone…?

Are you a philanthropist… ?

Are you appreciating life and it's 'simple' pleasures… ?

Have you become a self-actualizing individual…?

We really hope to see you all there. The next step after this is to jump right to the website and get a ticket for YOUR reunion! Please shoot us an email if you have any questions at all that need answering. Please don't assume anything-- ask us.

All the best!!
