Current mood: productive
Short answer: I use FL5 (FruityLoops 5).
Long Answer: I use FL5 with skill, and some external plugins and/or wav editors.
Extra Credit: So... I play my beats for people here and there... and over and over I get the same question.. mainly from other beatmakers - "What do you use??" At which point I hesitate and say "FruityLoops." Why the hesitation you ask? Well... if it's just a commoner(someone who doesn't know how to make beats), they will laugh and say stuff like... "like the cereal??"... which is a natural reaction.. but.. after hearing it 2 or 3 times.. I get kinda tired of teaching a mini lesson just to answer a seemingly basic question. But also, there's a couple common perceptions of FL that are wack.
I've used FL5 for a few years now.. and.. before that I used Making Wavs. I remember when FL just came onto the scene. Now, it'sone of the most popular beat programs. It's so easy to make a beat with it. Or.. i should say.. it's so easy to make a wack beat with it... that so many wack producers are drawn to it now. So, when i say I use it.. I usually say it after they hear the beats.. that way there's no disappointed "oh, another wack producer" sigh... instead it's a "OH SNAP! YOU DID THAT IN FRUITYLOOPS??!?" and that... that's much more satisfying..
2ndly.. I'll run into an mpc freak.. and they'll be on some bug juice(buggin)... listening to what i use.. but I can tell they think they're better cuz they use the legendary MPC.. oooooohhhh ahhhhhhh..... psssshhhh... whatever.. (i'm gettin one though... that's a fun machine.. it's legendary for a reason.. ) but yeah.. i'm done typin... holla @ me! logging off... DUYU KID!!!
