THE END OF THE FILM

Lady Presenter: [briskly] Well, that's the End of the Film, now
here's the Meaning of Life.

[An envelope is handed to her. She opens it in a
business-like way.]

Thank you Brigitte. [She reads.]... Well, it's nothing
special. Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a
good book every now and then, get some walking in and try and
live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds
and nations. And finally, here are some completely gratuitous
pictures of penises to annoy the censors and to hopefully
spark some sort of controversy which it seems is the only way
these days to get the jaded video-sated public off their
fucking arses and back in the sodding cinema. Family
entertainment bollocks! What they want is filth, people doing
things to each other with chainsaws during tupperware parties,
babysitters being stabbed with knitting needles by gay
presidential candidates, vigilante groups strangling chickens,
armed bands of theatre critics exterminating mutant goats -
where's the fun in pictures? Oh well, there we are - here's
the theme music. Goodnight.
 

Adrian left me a comment that you were looking for the meaning of life. For some reason he thinks I may know what it is. I dont but I can give you my view on life. Be forwarned I am the eternal pessimist and continue reading at your own risk.

I'm with you in that I am not so sure there is some specific meaning that we're all going to figure out at some magical point in time. I think life basically sucks. There is all sorts of crap we have to deal with and most of it is pure bullshit! That said we are stuck here so we might as well carry on and try to enjoy the good shit when it occassionally comes our way. I personally have been enjoying my friday nights finally getting to hear some decent Irish music here in South Florida. ;-)

Being the eternal pessimist who has probably just depressed everyone who reads this I will say one more thing "Beware of people who are always happy. They are probably hiding some pretty freaky shit." (To give credit where due, I stole that from Eamonn, LOL).
 

I will just add this one short comment,, beware also people who are way to grim... they are probably extremely annoying optimistic dreamers who are secretly happy but don't want people to know it cause they might have more people hanging around them on a regular basis.. just a thought. :D
