The last North American tour in support of Mar Dulce!!!
Tickets Still Available!!!
Don't Miss It!!!
*****
Following a string of sold-out performances on their first North American tour
this Spring, Bajofondo returns for a 12-city encore starting on September 17th
in Los Angeles’s Mayan Theater. On a seemingly endless world tour since 2007
behind the album, Mar Dulce (Decca/Surco), upon conclusion of this tour in
Washington DC on October 3rd, the band will take a break to focus on
individual projects and begin writing music for their next album. With only two
releases in seven years, this could be the last chance for audiences in North
America to see their amazing live show for some time. When Mar Dulce was finally released in the US last
year, the album received great praise from critics -- The Washington Post called the album “superb”, and Rhapsody™
championed it as “a triumph.” The album features guest turns from Elvis
Costello, Julieta
Venegas, Nelly
Furtado, Mala
Rodríguez, and the late Lagríma
Ríos.’’ ....

Since they debuted in 2002 with Bajofondo
Tango Club, Bajofondo
has developed a hybrid aesthetic that merges rock, hip-hop, electronica, tango, candombe, and milonga – self-described contemporary music of the “Rio de la
Plata” border region between Argentina and Uruguay. Hailing from these two countries as well as Los Angeles, the band includes: Gustavo Santaolalla (guitar, percussion, vocals); Juan
Campodónico (programming,
guitar); Luciano Supervielle
(keyboards, turntable); Javier Casalla (violin); Martin Ferres (bandoneón); Gabriel Casacuberta (bass); Adrian Sosa (drums); and Veronica Loza (VJ).....
