the atmosphere today was thick and heavy
soupy
and i was also experiencing this "other" atmosphere
this atmosphere of love and deeper love
and remembrance and sadness and deep feeling
for Happy
we all knew him
loved him
time passes
old hurts go away
people become softer as they grow
softer
the softer
gentler
transformation of
souls
by the forces of nature
tomorrow
soil covers

the covering
the external and already transformed physical
shell of our friend
that is not him

he is present
the rivers of tears
keep the soul from passing over
the rivers of tears
flowing toward the ocean
the rivers of tears
and the feelings that come from way deeper than the eyes

the doubling over kinds of feelings

hopefully in the attitude of submission and service

onto that which has become purely physical
ready to be rejoined to the earth

the "eyes" of Happy are still around
