Well I guess I should have looked first. I thought I had posted details about the session on an earlier blog but I guess I deleted it. Anyway, this is another great Loggins-McDonald written song. It features Michael McDonald and David Foster on Keyboards, Lenny Castro on percussion, and the great David Sanborn on sax. We cut this without a click and so it does float a bit time wise, but I think it's got a nice human feel to it. I hope you enjoy it.

Heart to Heart has always been of my fave Kenny Loggins tracks...The organic rhythm that develops without a click track may be one of the things that makes that such a good record...There are all these instruments happening at the same time...It wouldn't sound as funky had you done it with a click.

Awesome! I love this kinda stuff. Thanks for sharing...I always pass these things along to my long-time friend and fellow Chicago friend, Karen, who is too busy with her three little kids to have a myspace site. I send thanks along from her too....Melinda

I love Kenny Loggins' music and "Heart to Heart" is one of my favorites. This song definitely has that undeniable Michael McDonald sound. Thanks once again and look forward to more.

Tris I have always loved this song. It is always interesting to know who is playing on these songs. It makes it more special when you hear them to know that you're playing drums. Thanks for letting us know. See you soon.

Persistence is the key! thank you so much for loading this one up. Heart to Heart is one of my favorite KL songs. It might float, but it's so good that my bet is nobody in the world has ever noticed it except the people who recorded it. It's a keeper in MY book and lives in my iPod as one of my favorite "feel good" songs.

thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Knowing you worked on this track makes it all the sweeter :)

see you in Vegas!

Here's yet another lost gem brought back to light - and what a group to work with, Tris! To quote the Great One: "How sweet it is!"

I know you posted this blog a while ago but i'm always checking out everyones myspace pages to see things i missed. I am a huge Loggins & Mcdonald fan. Have been listening to them both and have seen them in concert since I was a teenager. How cool to know that you played the drums for Kenny. Thank you for being a fabulous drummer that you are!!!!!!Janet

Would that be my old friend Vernon Porter on bass? I always liked this song.

This is one of those songs I love to crank up to full volume and sing along with!!! I can never get tired of hearing it---ever!!!. I have a confession, though, I thought it was Jeff Porcaro playing drums. Who knew?

As much as I loved Jeff, I am glad it was you on the song. ;)
