As small children we learnt to say word 'sorry' very quickly, through the many mistakes we made the only word that could make it better was 'sorry'. So it was even more insulting and very hard to understand how a grown man couldn't manage to say a word that was so simple yet significant.
As an Aboriginal Australian I found it to be a shadow over our culture. Many scars were made yet none could heal until the recognition was made that there was nothing the Aboriginal people could of done. It was nothing they could have changed, they weren't bad parents, or bad people, they were victoms. So thankyou Mr.Rudd its about time.
