Hey guys and gals.  We believe the story behind The Connection is rather unique, maybe even fate-like.  It's not common to find other people that share your exact musical taste, let alone two musicians that agree 100% on the music they want to create.  But, musical interest and agreement is the strong foundation that The Connection is built on.  How we met is really thanks to modern technology, specifically the popular classified / message board known as Craigslist.  That's right, we "connected" (pun intended) through a classified.  Grant (singer) posted an add titled "Acoustic Roots".  Oddly enough I (Travis) had thought about posting a similar add, but always put it off, thinking there was no chance someone would be into producing this kinda music.  Needless to say I replied to Grant's add saying something to the effect "I thought I was the only one in this area (Dallas) that used "acoustic" and "roots" in the same sentence."

Two weeks later, we met for the first time and in four hours we recorded four songs that are now on our EP album.  Two days later, we sent these songs to about 7 live music venues in the Dallas area.  That day we booked 4 shows, and at that point we thought we might be doing something people would dig.

With Grant already having the songs written and my modest knowledge of recording we had our first CD (10 tracks) complete in 3 weeks, before we even had the first show!

sweet deal. things happen for a reason. and not only did it work out for you two, but now the fans in this area that dig the type of tunes you two produce and put out now have a place to go and listen to it, and its from locals. icing on the cake baby!!! oh yeah!!!
