One More Tune is not a lone entity. It is a community celebrating life and love and music and it’s throwing a 2nd birthday party for you on Saturday, August 8th. To celebrate two of the vinyl guardians of Glasgow’s Rubadub Records Dan and Karim meet on the same billing - promising a night of genre defiance and quite possibly musical bliss. Pro Vinylist Karim http://www.myspace.com/provinylistkarim is as likely to spin something by Juan Atkins as he is J Dilla. The maestro brings funk and flair to the decks mixing Bass, Hiphop, Disco, Dubstep, Baltimore or Grime with fluency. Karim's encyclopedic music knowledge belies the fact he is one of the most down to earth in the business and he'll perfectly set the tone for One More Tune's 2nd birthday party.

Define Define are the birthday boys chuffed to get as far as they have off the back of hosting parties for their friends. Matthew Craig & Ralph Thomson began One More Tune just two years ago and are learning to stay ahead of the game where other nights soon give up. Pursuing a “good music, no matter when or where from” thoery Define Define are in their element mixing from an ever expanding palette of sounds. Contrast is their forté but expect consistency and deep understanding of the music to bind the off beat choices with anthems into a single narrative. “Dance music played by guitar teachers” is as succinct a description you’ll get out of them on their birthday night.

http://www.myspace.com/onemoretune_clubDan Monox http://www.myspace.com/danmonox from one of Scotland’s premier Techno nights of the same name promises to play a very special Acid set to close the night. Dan played One More Tune’s 1st birthday so it’s about time they got him back to play the hallowed chequered floor at the Glasgow School of Art. Having hosted Surgeon at Monox and Robert Hood at his birthday party Dan can claim to have played with the most respected Electronic DJs out there and will test the Art School’s bassbins to the limit. Close your eyes and you can almost hear the lurching 303 synths calling you to the black and white finish line...
