ROCK MUSIC, TATTOOS, & THE LAW OF GOD

I've been told and I've read quite a few different thoughts concerning Rock Music & Tattoos and what GOD's law is concerning them.

Well first of all the law was put in place to help show us our need for GOD and for each other period!

As GOD's creations we were created for relationship with HIM and with others!
That's how we were designed - for relationship!
Many of the things that happen in our lives that we consider bad things happen all because of broken relationships.
Either we've or someone else has a broken relationship with GOD and or they are being selfish not considering others in the equation of their actions.

In Genesis 3, Man separated himself from GOD by choosing himself and what he wanted over GOD! Selfishness!
In Genesis 4, Cain separted himself from his brother by killing him because he was angry that GOD didn't except his offering that was given half heartly! Selfishness!

When JESUS was asked what the greatest commandment was HE responded like this, "Love the LORD your GOD with All your heart, with All your soul, with All your mind, and with All your strength. The second is this Love your neighbor as yourself. There is No Commandment Greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31)

In Colossians 3 ver. 17 it says:
"And Whatever you do in Word or Deed, Do It All in the name of the LORD JESUS, giving thanks to GOD the FATHER through HIM.

Now if you can listen to Rock Music or Tattoo yourself and still Love GOD with all of you, Love your neighbor while doing it, and do it for GOD's glory- then by all means I say as long as you are at peace with your choice and do it By Faith then do it!

I am a Christian Tattoo Artist and I've seen people I've tattooed and or Rocked their face off in the name of JESUS - go away thinking hey maybe GOD isn't a COSMIC TASK MASTER, but just maybe there is something to this JESUS guy because this guy that just put this tattoo on me and or this band rocked my face off- was pretty cool with me and he/they claim to be a Christian(s)!
And I've seen those same people I've tattooed/rocked their face off come to my church- that have never stepped inside one before and over time, build relationships with the people there, and enter in to the family of GOD. And all of it started with me putting a stupid tattoo on them and or rocking their face off!

If GOD can speak to someone using a donkey, ( Balaam in Numbers 22:28)
HE can use Rock N.. Roll -Metal or whatever type of music you're into!
Well just maybe GOD's powerful enough to use Tattoos too!!!!!!!*****************************************

Veruses Against Tattoos:

Leviticus 19:28
9 veruses down from 19:19........
(Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material) and 1 verus down from
19:27 (Do not cut the hair at the sides
of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.)

It says: "Do not cut your bodies for the Dead
or put tattoo marks on yourself.I am the Lord.)

This verus has to do with Pagans who would cutt or tattoo themselves as
signs of mourning
or to secure the attention of their deity
(PAGAN GOD)

We as Christians should not have to show mourning in such ways....hopefully we can rejoice that we will see our loved ones again in Heaven. Also we as Christians should not be trying to gain the attention of a Pagan god either. Plus if you're going to get a tatttoo.....don't do it yourself get a professional to do it!

About the hair thing:1 Cor.11:6 (...it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut of shaved off, she should cover her head.)

Also,
Paul says in 1 Cor. 14:34
(women should remain silent in churches. They are Not Allowed to Speak, but must be in submission, as the LAW says.)

Galations 3:2
(I would like to learn just one thing from you... did you receive the Spirit by observing the Law, or by believing what you heard?...)

Gal. 3:10-11 All who rely on oberving the Law are under a curse, for it is written:
"Cursed is everyone who does not continue
to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clear no one is justified before GOD by the law, because, "The righteous will live BY FAITH."

So if you want to live by the Law-You are under a Curse if you've ever spoken in church!-As for me I'll live BY FAITH!
