Cool, thanks for sharing that! I can only speak for myself in that I'm not trying to earn my salvation or sacrifice my body to GOD with my tattoos and or the giving of tattoos.
For we are saved by grace through faith so that no man can boast! There is no amount of good I can do that will save me or get me into heaven... and the LORD knows I'm not trying to punish myself!
The flesh counts for nothing and it will not enter into heaven...also we get new heavenly bodies (Thank GOD) because I do have some pretty stupid tattoos!
The difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that... tattooed people don't care if you're tattooed or not. However I believe if one has convictions about not getting tattooed by all means they should not get tattooed!
Like anything we do...whatever it is...tattooing is a means of bringing the soul to the surface! Whatever it is that your doing or saying, it is a reflection of what's in side your soul! My question is to people that want to bash someone for having tattoos...what are they doing for the Kingdom of GOD! All that matters is GOD and faith expressing itself in love!
I'll be the first to admit I'm a sinner and I'm very far from being perfect but GOD is still working on me! I haven't arrived yet and won't until I'm told "Well done good and faithful servant" I strive to speak and to act with all I do for the glory of GOD! I KNOW I'm where I'm supposed to be and I KNOW I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing!
My fruit speaks for itself and GOD knows my fruit!
I'm doing my best to go out into all the world and preach the gospel of CHRIST! To be a light in a dark place! To bring the love of JESUS to a lost, hurting, and dying world around me. I am a ambassador of CHRIST as though GOD were making HIS appeal through me asking the world around me to be reconcied to GOD!
Tattooed people need JESUS too! However non tattooed people need HIM no less! We all need to be made right with GOD and thanks be to CHRIST that we can be through HIS blood and HIS sacrifice!
Like I've said before...The Law of GOD was put into place to show us how sinful we truly are and that we needs GOD's help and forgiveness to be made right with HIM!
Look at the Ten Commandments
1.Have no other gods before ME!
2.Make for your self no engraven image and bow down and worship it.
3.Don't use the LORD's name in vain
4.Remember the sabbath and keep it holy.
5.Honor your mother and father
6.Thou shall not kill
7.Thou shall not commit adultery
8.Thou shall not steal
9.Thou sahll not lie
10.THou shall not covet.
Have you ever lied, stole (value doesn't matter), or committed adultery? keeping in mind JESUS said " That any man that looks at a woman and lust after her, he has committed adultery already with her in his heart." I have and if you said yes then by your own admission you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart and you too are a law breaker! And that's just three of the Ten Commandments! Jesus said anyone who has broken one of these laws is guilty of breaking them all!
Because you can't serparate GOD's Mercy from HIS Justice the broken laws of GOD have a fine that has to be paid and the fine is Death and the prision is Hell. But JESUS stepped in the courtroom of Heaven and paid our fine so that we could go free and be made right with GOD!
We all deserve hell my friend!
The bible says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD! But while we were still sinners CHRIST died for us!
Once I realized I was a sinner and just how much I had offended a Holy and Righteous GOD and that I deserved Hell but because of HIS great love for me HE took my punishment on HIMSELF...I fell to my knees and repented and put my trust in CHRIST for the forgiviness of my sins! I have been made as white as snow and the HOLY SPIRIT that dwells within me gives witness to my salvation!
So once again I have no need to try and earn anything from GOD and I can do no good without HIM doing it through me and I never could punish myself enough to be forgiven! JESUS did it all for me! I am a child of the MOST HIGH GOD because of what CHRIST did for me and the rest of the world on the cross!
This is what I would say!
May GOD richly bless and keep you my friend and may you always rest in the promise GOD gives you...HE never leaves you or forsakes you!!!
My job is that of a tattooist...but my life is deicated to following CHRIST!
