Wonderful World of Worders Anthology (Book)

Lol. I know! I think they may have just 'skimmed' the Foreword & Intro only. Mind you 'Books Ireland' tends to be quite 'literary' and our wee treasure might just to be too heavy for them to take in... lol

(BTW - Lyuba, are you able to view the reviews above okay? I still can't seem to see them at all (and I know they're there!). I've asked the powers that be for assistance).

That first review is a bit weak. I wonder if they have actually read the book at all!

Exactly what I was thinking too, Nathalie. Lol.

PLUS the proceeds of the book are NOT all donated to charity. It was a certain % of the authors who kindly donated their 'fees' to the AWE charity. I will be letting the mag/reviewer know this as this is actually clearly outlined at the very beginning of the book.

Well, at least we got some mention in the above magazines. Many books don't even get a look-in; especially at this time of year.

BTW, take a read of the second review on 'Lines I Love':

"Not the only easy-dip book for the smallest room in this list, and not the worst either..."

Mmm, I hope that's not a wee dig, eh? lol

Hmmm - first reviewer clearly hasn't bothered to open the book. Second reviewer is not much better.

Ach, well - a mention is a mention, even if the reviewers can't be bothered to do their job properly.

K.

And to think I used to be a Book Reviewer myself... I'd never have got away with not 'reading' the intro/contents at least! Well, hopes for more Book Reviews to follow - even if they're slow in coming. :)

I agree Karjon, seems we are getting more than our 15 minutes of fame, and at this time of year that has to be a good thing.

Is there an easy way to get people on to the book over here? Can they buy it through amazon or order it through myspace? I am not sure what to advise people and I have had a few queries, sorry if you have addressed this before, but I have been flat out like a lizard drinking lately.

Hi Serin,

Yes, of course the book can be ordered - from Amazon (although would take longer than ordering direct from us). Either way, orders will come direct from ourselves so please do point them to the Guildhall Press website: www.ghpress.com All details (about P&P) are on site. Hopefully some in Oz will order, seeing as there's three of you representing Australia!

BTW, did your Mum get her book okay and what did she think of her daughter getting into print? Hope she was proud of ye!

Jen :)
