Current mood: hopeful
An open letter to the Universe
The closer we have been getting to election day the worse I've been feeling. My stomach is in knots, my head hurts and I haven't been able to think about anything else. But it all stops right here, right now. I am no longer living in fear. I am choosing Hope. I will support my candidate if he should win this election, and if he doesn't, I will find a way to work with the new political system in such a way to bring about a better country, and a better world. If the people who spent so much time, effort and money to take away my civil rights succeed, I will find it in my heart to forgive then and hope that our children will find a way learn to accept and love those who may be different than them. I will continue to fight for my rights, but will do so from a place of love and hope for what I may achieve, rather than of fear for what I might lose. I will do my best to understand those who's opinions are different than my own, and to chose wisely when to engage in constructive conversation and when to respectfully acknowledge a differing point of view. And regardless of the outcome of this election, I will continue to hope for a better tomorrow.
Sincerely, Don Mike Los Angeles, CA
