Dega Breaks have always been big fans of using the internet to get their tunes out there. The simplicity of stepping out of studio on a dreary Thursday evening and uploading the latest fruits of our labour to our enthusaistic listeners is rewarding indeed. So when our bassist, Ben, suggested we stick our names in for the MySpace competition we jumped at the chance. Especially with the prize as a featured artist at music.myspace.com for a week.
We found out we'd won during one of our band lunch breaks at Jo's at favourite Cafe opposite our studio in Battesea. Our manager filled us in, while Ben nearly choked on his omelette, Gav spilt his tea and Alex wolfed down his Sausage and Mash. What a result! A full of week of people being able to share in our fans enjoyment of their favourite Dega Breaks tunes!
To celebrate we decided to add two songs which everyone will be able to download for free for this week only; Hoxton Bitch and Bedroom Diva's, upbeat, dancey, slightly cynical but always fun.
Better get back to the studio... rehearsing hard for our next show on 7th Oct at 100 Club.
