Wow. Catching my breath. We've shot almost all the major portions of Dogs of Chinatown, my first feature film. If you just want to see an early teaser trailer (pre-ADR and no digital fx) check this out (not explicit, but probably not worksafe for more conservative environments) :

We are the cover story in the upcoming issue of YES WEEKLY, but you can go ahead and check out the article here:

Mark Burger is an awesome writer and it was really enjoyable reading his eloquent summary of our project.
You can see the cool cover here:

We also have a flattering article on www.twitchfilm.com , one of the best sites for news on foreign and arthouse films.

For those who missed our local press coverage, here's one of the clips (thanks ANDY!)

Even though there's still a handful of quick scenes and pickups to film, I wanted to go ahead and thank everyone and commend them on their awesome job. There's no crew or actor's on this film I wouldn't want to work with again. I even met plenty of amazing actors for whom there was just no room in the script, but I hope we all get to make projects together on the next level. Everyone was just was a team player giving their all, with no divas - amazing for a production with this large of a cast - thanks for being "gully" with our guerilla crew. Thanks also to the crew (at any given time 2 - 4 people, and 5 one day!) for putting in the long wageless hours, and also to ARC for going above and beyond in building custom props and furniture. Thanks Blake for steadying me and pointing toward the light during moments of cloudiness. Jesse for the total charity of all your time (at my old residence too) - I am indebted. And Any for all the press and net coverage while we were in the midst of production. Thanks to all the stuntmen for risking life and limb for art's sake.

Thanks to all the locations for being so generous. Brian @ JABS!; Christian @ SOLARIS; Joe & Mark @ Greene Street; the Stevens; Triangle Kung Fu Arnis Academy; Dr. Moore; THE PRESS; Burley and Elvis @ Elsewhere, and everyone else! You rock so much, and thanks for making this big hunk of art possible (the film I mean, not me). Thanks to everyone who's helped us from early on, Tony Treloar (concept artist), Bruce for a lot of ideas and insight into music, and everyone else. Thanks to Bill, Rob, Gerald and Brian on being so flexible with that one floating day of shooting.  Thanks to Junji for the delicious catering on bigger shooting days.

Even thought there's a couple reshoots and some pickups left, we'll be having the first of two wrap parties Oct 27th. We're all going over to Solaris in downtown Greensboro to see ARC's band Xenofunk perform (a dance fusion band similar to Daft Punk and Moby) - cast and crew and our filmmaker and press friends are welcome at my new downtown place before and after the show to see roughcut scenes and hang out. If peeps need to crash that's cool too. Might wanna bring sleeping bags, guys, and we can leave the bed and couch for the ladies. I encourage everyone (not just cast and crew) to come hang at SOLARIS for the Xenofunk show, it's free and starts at 11pm and it's a really great musical experience.

OK, that's all for now that I can think of (I'm sure there's more I can't). It's been amazing meeting everyone and let's keep inspiring each other. Wink. Wink.

Later everyone,
Your fearless and foolish director,
Micah Moore
