Ok then, ya hit me up and asked me for my opinion so hear it is.

It was a tie.

There were a couple decent lines in each of the songs. Thats the good part.

Heres the bad part:

Yall sounded like you werent even trying to battle. It sounds like yall were reading. If this "beef" is as personal as yall type it out to be then why am I not hearing that anger in the rhymes? Nune claims it took him 2 hours to write and 1 to record it, as if that is some type of guiness world record or something. I get it, he was trying to say that he was quick to respond and it took Luis forever to. No disrepect to Nune, but Pac wrote and recorded numerous classic songs in that time. Biggie finished songs in 30 min. Jadakiss' longest time in the studio was an hour. Lets get and keep a little perspective, k. However Nunes rhyme scheme was more consistent that Luis'. Styles, you're falling off time a little bit bro. You've improved alot since the first time I heard ya but there were a couple times that it sounded like you were struggling with the rhythm. I like how you called out the "N word" cause if he went around saying that shit where I'm from, he'd have his head caved in. Believe that. However, the jabs about being Mexican were a little weak. 97% of the people down here are Mexican so you're pretty much insulting everyone, including your own girl. (I'm assuming shes Mexican)

All in all, neither of them made me stand up and say "Holy shit, that was fucking amazing". Actually, I got bored. I just got back from a trip to Miami and had the privledge of meeting up with some of my old friends in the industry and going to an open mic night. They ripped it. Everyone on the stage ripped the shit out of it and reminded me how a real MC is supposed to handle it. Sorry to say, these "diss songs" would be demolished if this were another part of the country. But its not. So I guess we have to just deal with what we have.

Nobody down here has FAME. Nune, you dont have it. Styles, you dont have it. I dont have it. Nobody hear has fame. We're just independent artists doing what we can in this God forsaken area to get our music out there. Anyone can make a youtube video. Anyone can sit on myspace and generate "friends" and plays. That doesnt make you famous. That just means your computer savvy. It amazes me how quickly egos get blown up down here over nothing. If you have a little success over something, enjoy it and move on. Don't try to claim its something more than what it really is. I actually tune into Nune's reality stuff cause the shits entertaining. I check out Styles' page cause there always seems to be drama and thats entertaining as well. I don't knock the hustles of each of yall, just the false sense of stature yall seem to have from something so small. 

I agree with Evolve. Everyone has their crews and each of those crews is gonna support their artist. So unless you find a non-biased venue to have this battle in, no one will ever really be the winner. The votes will always be swayed and each one of yall will claim youre the best. Which, by the way, you have to beat everyone in the valley to officially be the best. So unless you're prepared to battle me, evolve, cal, fluid, melta, lamar, and everyone else who picks up a mic around here, stop claiming it. It makes yall sound ridiculous. No one believes it except yourselves. And thats not hate, its just honesty. Stay humble. Make your music and let it be. Because I promise you, there is always someone better and more talented.

First, I never claimed to be an authority on hip hop. If you READ what I wrote, I even include in there that I AM NO BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. THAT NONE OF US ARE FAMOUS. You can double check that. I never once say I'm better than so or so in my songs. Hell, most of my songs don't even approach that topic. If other people are agreeing with what I say and that bothers you, not much I can do about that man.

Second, Luis text me and asked my for my opinion, not to mention he put up this blog asking for EVERYONES opinion. If you dont agree with that opinion, you're more then welcome to proceed to the next comment.

Third, I'm not player hating. Trust me. The last thing I need or want to do is hate on peoples hustle. In fact I commend it. I believe I mention that in the comment as well. I do, however, dislike the bullshit that is 90% of the valley artists down here. Not because of talent, but because of the nonsense shit they claim. I've said that time and time again. Apparently you werent paying attention.

Fourth, I stay in the valley for much more important reasons than to get my hip hop career off the ground. lol. Family, the teen program, making a positive change in the community. This is why I stay. And I aint getting the "Fuck" out of anywhere, so get used to it. I've given props to those who I really feel are putting their heart into their art and striving to push the boundries. And it has nothing to do with talent, but more so their willingness to go against the norm and be creative. And I wish some of these dudes could see these "industry" cats because maybe it would humble them.

I would never knock anyones talent. The only time I say something is if they are egotistical and knocking everyone else, then I'll let lose. The valley has talent. Its there. Regretfully its just covered up by a bunch of nonsense.

And my distaste for the valley itself is more towards the political corruption and the unfair treatment of people due to small town mentality. But that can be applied to alot of areas like this.

The only reason I brought up the 2 hour writing 1 hour recording thing and compared it to Biggie is to create some perspective. Its my opinion, whether right or wrong, that the amount of time someone takes to write a song shouldnt really be brought up because it truely has no bases for anything and not a fair assessment of someones talent. I know someone who worked at a recording studio in Miami back in 03, I think it was then, when Ghostface was recording an album. It took him FOREVERRRRR to write and record she said. He could have been milking the label, but maybe not. And even though it took him a long time, he still came up with incredible music. Point being, it doesnt matter how long. I write quick but never bring it up. Ask Cal. Shit, I dont even write my lyrics down and on a good day can think and record a song in a half an hour but I would never use that against someone because who's to say the shit I come up with in that time will be better than someone who took a week? Feel me?

I agree with Nune, this side of hip hop is more sport. Its competitive and is often paralleled to boxing. Hopefully these guys will give it their all, battle each other viciously and then leave it all on the canvas, giving each other props for even entering into the ring.

THAT, I think, would make it worth while.
