2009 Is Here!!!
In all honesty, I didn't think that Panic Records was going to make it to the year 2009. It's happened though...and that's thanks to all the bands that are currently a part of Panic Records. Outrage, Brick, Set Your Goals, Final Fight, The Golden Age, Wait In Vain and Trial.
Earlier in the year I was thinking that the label would be done with before the new year came. No bands that were catching my attention, all the hard work put into the previous bands, only to break up before their records could truly take off. The label has put out some really great records by really great bands...but without the bands to stand behind their own releases, it's made it next to impossible to keep dumping money into something that was on life support as it was.
That changed when all of a sudden a new breed of bands started popping up and really peaking my interest. A new breed of bands that were just as excited about their bands as I was. Considering all this, there was no way I could let Panic die and not make 2009 the year that good things happen for the bands and the label.
So here's to 2009, here's to Brick for being such a bad ass band that makes me want to smash things. To Outrage for being that blast of 90's hardcore that I've been missing. To The Golden Age for being some of the best guys I've ever had the honor of meeting and producing some of the greatest songs that I want to sing along and mosh to any chance I get. To Final Fight for playing incredible hardcore with inspiring lyrics that get me in a Rage. To Set Your Goals for being the friends that they are and giving me the opportunity to release their Ep. To Wait In Vain and Trial...well, fuck...that's me and the boys really...so thanks to all the guys in my bands for helping me out and supporting me. I'm thankful to have all of you a part of the label and people I call friends. Let's fucking take over 2009 together!!!
