2 Kings 4:1-7 talks about the story of the widow's oil. The woman's husband died and his creditor was coming to take her 2 sons as slaves. She went to Elisha for help and he asked her, "What is in your house?" She said she only had a little oil so he told her to go to all her neighbors for empty jars. She brought the jars to her house and started pouring and all the sudden every single jar was full. The widow and her sons had enough oil to pay her debts and to live on what was left.
This story reveales 2 major things:
1) ACTION is a prerequisite to your miracle. The widow had to go find empty jars in order for her miracle to take place. So many times we come to God giving Him a list of things we need for Him to do for us, and get frustrated when they aren't fulfilled. But, God is asking for YOU to physically act to see results. How desperate are you? How far will you go to see it take place?
2) FAITH activates your miracle. Elisha's orders may have sounded a little crazy, but she followed exact instructions. She brought the empty jars home and began pouring. Now, it takes faith to begin pouring into empty jars, hoping they all get filled up. But she was desperate for a miracle. Even though she could not see it with her physical eyes, supernaturally she saw them full.
You may be believing for your family to get saved, friends to get free from addiction, a healing physically and emotionally, finances, or restoration of a relationship. It doesn't matter how dim this situation may appear, it you mix your faith with action, God will make the impossible possible.
Love you guys!
