How do you pick/I become a model?
Its a common misconception that I only use my friends as models. Its just usually, my models become my
good friends. Most of my models I either ask to shoot
with me, after meeting them in real life or being
awestruck by their myspace pictures, or they scheduled
a paid shoot with me, and I asked them to be a model. You can't ask to be a model. I'll probably say no. Asking to model is just an excuse to get free pictures,
if you think you actually have talent, book a shoot
with me and prove it. I'll probably ask you to model. <3
What are your prices?
Good question, it really depends...BUT BEFORE I ANSWER....
READ THIS FIRST:
Hi. =] I would like to start by saying I am a fashion and music photographer first and foremost. Its my main goal as well as my main focus. If i turn down senior picture or buddy shoots it's nothing personal. I consider what I do to be art. I will not do the same thing more than once. If you like something that i've done, awesome. That means you like my style, but don't expect to get the same
exact picture, in the same place, with the same props. If that was the case you might as well photoshop your head on the picture's i've already taken. Or go to Bezy or Arnold Clark, they have no problem taking the same picture over again. But I will not be a cookie cutter photographer. Ever.
Because what I do is different, it makes pricing/booking shoots a little more complicated. You can't just show up. I want to know something about you. I want your pictures to reflect you. You are your own person, and there is nobody else like you. And I won't try to figure out who you are in five minutes before our shoot. So be prepared to get to know me a little first. =]
Don't try to book me because you get pictures for cheaper than normal senior picture places. I want to shoot people who love my style of photography, and actually want something unique, not
just people who want to save a buck.
Band Promo Shoots:
$100 - Plus money to reimburse gas/props. I don't like doing just plain jane train track/brick wall kinda stuff. The shoot gets you an individual for each band member, a group banner picture, and a group default shot. You end up with 5-10 high res professionally edited pictures, yours
to do whatever with. <3*
Band Live Shots:
$40 - Plus guest list for two. I always have an assistant to help with memory cards/ lenses. You'll get a disk/email of the finished high res shots. Usually 10-20.
Senior Pictures:
$200-300 Depends on the locations/outfits/extensiveness. I'll upload low res proofs to an online album. You pick 1 yearbook shot and 5-10 high res pictures. I'll edit them and get them to you on a disk. Extra pictures $10 each.*
$10 Dollar Defaults:
$10- You pick the outifts/theme and bring all the props. Shoot in my home studio, in my backyard, or at the park. You get one high res professionally edited shot for your myspace default. *
Fashion Photo Shoot:
$150-$200 - Themed high fashion photo shoot. Requires extra time to set up/discuss. Must also reimburse for any extra props/ outfits needing purchased. Hair and make up included.
Couples/Family:
$100 - Or more. Just hit me up on this one, it really depends on the size of the family/ locations/ theme...
Weddings:
$250- Starting rate. I'm very very very picky about the weddings I take. You'll have to be very convincing. Don't just pick me because I'm the cheaper route.
*Hair and make up available at starred shoots for $10 each.
What camera do you use/software do you edit with?
I use a canon rebel xti. I edit all my photos in photoshop cs3 and nothing else.
Will you teach me photography/editing?
Mmm, i get asked this a lot. Its a really hands on method, so i won't teach you online. I'd be happy to teach you in real life, but i'm a pretty busy person. So we'll have to work out something price wise. And you'd have to have your own camera, just message me! <3
Can I shadow you?
Of course you can. If you don't mind helping with
dragging equipment and holding lights. And don't try and ask just so you can hang out with a band. <3
I'm a starting photographer, can you give me some advice?
Hmm, i'm bad with advice. I guess the best thing I can say is, don't listen to me or anybody. Learn your basics and experiment from there. ALWAYS shoot manual. And find a way to break away from the norm...or at
least, make the pictures true to you.
THE FUCK ALP ALBUM, WHATS UP WITH THAT?
A long long time ago I came up with the idea to make
a F*CK AMY LYNN PHOTOGRAPHY shirt. Everybody
loved it, it kinda became the theme at shoot, because
the poses/situations/themes are sometimes uncomfortable to hold and ridiculous to demand. Thus,
making people jokingly say, FUCK AMY LYNN PHOTOG.
Haha, so everyone that shoots with me throws up
the finger, for a spot in the album. Its kinda my theme.

She's one of my best friends, so were constantly
hanging out and feeling the need to shoot randomly.
Plus, shes fucking brilliant/talented at modeling. So if

Who does hair and make up?
Yay, good question. Depending on the shoot/style needed. Cuts/styles are from hillary or paige. THEY ARE THE BEST. High fashion do's are achieved by hillary, paige, or leighann. If i need curls, kelli is
my girl. And as for make up, kelli and leighann are the best. <3 As far as basics, and high fashion make up/painting...
I handle that. YOU CAN REQUEST WHOEVER FOR YOUR SHOOT, and i'll talk to them.$10 charge. =]
