Chiropractic is a type of health care that focuses on people's wellness. Chiropractic care seeks to identify the problem that one faces and then prepares the body fully for whatever it will need to face. If a body is fully prepared to fight off problems, then the person will not only have the ability to cope with a problem but with many problems as a whole. The wellness aspect that chiropractic promotes is actually a health care rather than a sick care which is the typical norm of today. Think about it. One goes to seek help when they are sick, not healthy. Chiropractic is type of preventative health care. Chiropractic strives hard to make the body operate and function at the peak of its potential because when one's body is at its best it has the capabilities needed to fight of the worst. The main goal for chiropractic care is to keep the nervous system running at its optimum potential. The nervous system essentially controls our entire body, and determines if parts work, how they work, when they work, and if there needs to be a change to better adapt. This basically means that if something were to happen to it, then one of those branches that it controls would have problems carrying out its roles. A great example of this can be seen with farming and growing crops. Farmers use a source of water and make trails for the water so it can get to their crops. Suppose that there was a rough storm or some sort of problem arose that diverted the trails, this would mean that the crops wouldn't get their required water. While they still might get some water, it will not be the optimum amount of water that was intended. These crops need that source of water otherwise the farmer's crops will not survive long, will soon die off, or the crops that are left will be no where as good as the crops that had proper watering. Now consider a crop that has great trails made so that the crops get the best possible access to water. What happens is that the crops will prosper and the farmer will have a great season and will benefit in many ways. Now the farmer can't just plant a crop and expect it to grow properly with out taking care of it, he has to maintain it and take care of it every way possible. This means that if there happens to be a problem where some of the trails that take the water to the crops get diverted and the plants aren't getting enough water then the farmer will do something about it to take care of it. In a sense the farmer is like a chiropractor he takes care of the trails and ensures that each trail is how it should be. If there is a diverted trail then the chiropractor will make that adjustment in order to ensure that everything may pass as it was intended to. The crops will then be at their prime and better able to cope with rough forces such as weathering and other external problems. The brain is to the body like the source of water was for the crops. It will send and receive messages throughout the body. It conveys these messages by means of the spinal cord. The spinal cord then takes the information out to the different parts of the body where the information is then acted upon. Once this occurs, feedback information will also be sent back in order to determine the next step in the process. This can also be related to the farmer and his crop in the sense that the brain is the lake of water that will be spread throughout the crops. The water that goes out to the crops via the spinal cord will only be the optimum amount that is needed for the crop. Once the crops have enough water, then the supply is shut off so the crops will not be over flooded. Chiropractors are the farmers that help regulate our nervous systems in order to ensure that our bodies are operating at their optimum functionality. Chiropractors will adjust people when needed in order to make sure that there are no obstructions or problems within each individual's body. If a constant effort for care is made then one can rest assured that that individual can and will operate at their maximum potential.
