Radio
Play!
That's right ladies and gentleman, the Apply Machine EP recieved it's first radio play last week - and on the BBC no less! So thank you Paul at Across The Line on BBC Northern Ireland, we salute you! For those of you that are interested you can see the playlist here, (it was the Monday 26th Jan show), but unfortunately you can't hear the show, grr.. ah well. The song played was 'My Head Hurts' and Paul informs us there will be more Snackiness gracing the Northern Irish airwaves in the coming weeks so keep your ears peeled if you're out that way!
Love Music Hate Racism (Please read this bit!)
Thank you so much to all those who have signed my pledge to put on a Love Music Hate Racism benfit gig. You will be plesed to know the pledge has been successfully completed so congratulations and gratitude to you all! For those of you who don't what I'm talking about - we are organising a fundraiser for LMHR and in order to be recognised by LMHR as an official event we have to complete a successful pledge at pledgebank.com to state our intention.
I'm not going go on at length here but the BNP are fielding candidates all over the country to try to get 1 or more MEPs in the May elections. The far right will feast on the coming recession and now, more than any time in the past 15 years at least, we should be making sure that they are kept in check.
As I said above, the pledge has already gained the necessary 20 signatures needed but that was just a limit set by the pledgebank website, I want to try to get 50 signatures at least so PLEASE KEEP SIGNING! We're being really ambitious with the acts and the venue we are asking. One band and the first choice venue have all but confirmed but some of the people I am trying to
get involved are interested but are umming and ahing as, understandably, they are not sure who we are etc But if we can show a really strong base of support for the event it could really help things along and thats where the signatures on the pledge come in.
Please sign the pledge now. All you are agreeing to is to let your friends know about the event when it happens but if you would like to be more involved then please get in contact after you've signed. Thank you so much for your support.
(It's very exciting if everything goes to plan...)

Your Info
We are updating all our contact info. If you would like to make sure all your contact details are correct on our mailing list then all you have to do is click opn the "Update Contact Info" link at the VERY bottom of this email. You are under no obligation to update your info. We are trying to tailor our correspondence a bit better so, for instance - if we know what city people are from then people living in Glasgow wont get emails about gigs in London. We will never share your details with ANYONE else. The website we use to send our emails, Reverbnation.com, has no access to your details and cannot contact you for any reason. Any information you give will for our eyes only.
And don't forget! Everyone on the mailing list is entitled to a free download of 'My Head Hurts' from the Apply Machine EP.
Get My Head Hurts FREE from our Reverbnation homepage or direct from us on this secret special link: http://www.nationalsnack.co.uk/hdnkai5.shtml
And finally, for those of you who like a little bit of politics I've decided to keep my insane ramblings at least vaguely seperate from the normal myspace blog by starting one specifically for the purpose. Readers and commenters are welcome here: http://www.backbeatking.blogspot.com
Happy sledging!
