What's it for?
I am organising a gig to raise money and awareness for Love Music Hate Racism.

Who?
In their own words Love Music Hate Raicsim "use the energy of our music scene to celebrate diversity and involve people in anti-racist and anti-fascist activity" Top artists who have performed at LMHR events include Ms Dynamite, Hard -Fi, Babyshambles, Akala, Reverend and The Makers, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Estelle, The View, Lethal Bizzle, Roll Deep and Basement Jaxx.

So what?
The far right is growing all over Europe and the BNP is growing in the UK. The coming recession coupled with voter disillusionment with all the main parties are a gift to the BNP and they are hoping to capitalise on the recession and make massive gains in the coming years. They are fielding as many candidates as they can in Julys European elections to try and get at least one MEP. If they succeed it will bring huge amounts of funding from the European Union, as all MEPs are entitled to.

As we all remember - Nazi parties with money and power are not the easiest of people to get along with.

But if they are elected legitimately what's the problem?
The BNP are dressed in suits and claiming to be a democratic political party but surely eveyone is aware of the violent tactics that the far right favour? They are even accused of violence against their OWN MEMBERS!


At the moment the BNP are an extremist group on the fringes of politics but they are growing and they are not ALL stupid. Left unchallenged a rising far right could be terrifyingly dangerous to our country and the rest of Europe. The BNP have 55 councillors in the UK, (55 too many), but apparently they NEVER win in areas where their arguments and their campaigning are challenged.

Right now we have it within our power to stop their growth with very little effort. If they are left to expand unchallenged they will become more dangerous and more difficult to stop with every step they take.

You may personally have strong views on foreign workers or immigration but I'm pretty sure you know that nazism and violence are not the answer. (If you think they are the answer then you might want to remove yourself from our friends list...)

Please help us do our bit to stop the rise of Fascism and the BNP in the UK and sign our pledge!
