Even though "being hard " seems to be a rampant fad, why are dudes "soft" as hell nowadays:
We can't take criticism, advice, or any comment, statement or facial expression from another man, and sometimes woman, without feeling threatened, or feeling our ego or pride taking a couple of jabs. We are ready to send someone to the grave and serve a life sentence for this shyt.
Now the question is "why"?
PRIDE has been replaced with FEAR. Fear of being viewed as showing or possessing-Kindness, Sensitivity, Thoughtfulness, Consideration, Admiration...etc. These traits are viewed as traits of women, children and gay men,by many of our contemporaries and counterparts.
Ask a young man off the streets to say that he is a kind, sensitive and thoughtful person - you might not get far. Ask the same kid to say that he is a killer, dope dealer, cold hearted nigga...He probably will oblige.
This shyt starts young man! No fathers around - to show a young man how to be a grown man, left us to be raised by women. Seeing these traits in a woman, without having a man around that shows these same traits, leads a young mind to think -"Hey, Im not a woman , so I shouldn't show the same traits". So now he thinks to be A "Man" all you have to do is be the opposite of a "woman".
Which leads to a whole bunch of other f'd up problems in our generation that I ain't even tryin to get into right now - DAMN!
Be cool yall...
