so.... i just experienced a very weird chain of events. i went to the bank, then i went to the atm. everything's cool so far.

and then i stepped up to the atm, where i noticed that someone had left their atm card in the machine. (the screen told me: "would you like to make another transaction?" to be honest, i thought for a split second that i might withdraw a million dollars and run away to bali but then my sense of ethics took over and i returned the card to a grateful bank teller.

okay, so not THAT unusual in of itself, but then: i went back to the atm, where a young man with a suitcase was making a transaction, and then he leaves.

i walk up to the machine, and he has left his atm card, face down, on the ledge of the atm! twice! in 1 minute! can you believe it?? i called him over, and he, somewhat red-faced, took his card back.

there's a wrinkle in the fabric of our ithaca universe, i'm convinced!
