Finality : Fragments & Compositions is available from Robert Forman's grand Sedimental imprint in Boston, Mass. This is a label I've admired and adored for years and I'm flabbergasted to be releasing this work with them.
It's been a work in process since about mid 2006, but I began preliminaries of its work in 2005 after working with Frederic St. Pierre and James Hill on the Agoniser recording.
I wanted to elaborate on some of the strange strategies and concepts that those days brought light to and for months and years since, I've found myself exploring all the odd possibilities of them.
I worked closely with 'strangers' and 'classically trained' minds to bring forth these compositions and meanderings.
Beginning in university recital halls, practice rooms, and expanding to museums, ballrooms, the great outdoors, and even my own bathroom. The contributors of this recording could probably care less, but I'm glad I've finally fine-tuned them and finalized another few odd years of my life. Now, maybe I can do what the great Morton Feldman once said, "to love the sounds, and leave them alone."
