New York-based Songwriter and musician Frank Hoier.

NPR.org, October 15, 2008 - The self-released Lovers and Dollars is the latest album from musician and songwriter Frank Hoier, who left his Southern California home three years ago to settle into the New York City music scene. Maryland-based rockabilly duo the Weber Brothers join Hoier on Lovers and Dollars, and together they've created a memorable collection of Americana songs.

The music on the album draws from traditional folk and blues while displaying distinct rock and roll flair, as exemplified on its opening track, and today's featured song, "I've Made up My Mind." Lovers and Dollars also includes the banjo-driven protest song "Jesus Don't Give Tax Breaks to the Rich," with its biting lyrics aimed at the idle rich ("You may beg and plead and say you never harmed no one / But you ain't never helped nobody either, what good have you done?" Hoier asks). Later, to close the album, Hoier pays tribute to Bob Dylan by performing his gentle harmonica and guitar arrangement of the traditional tune "Moonshiner."

Hoier and the Weber Brothers will perform a string of East Coast shows together this December. In the meantime, Hoier can be found performing several upcoming dates in New York while the Weber Brothers have shows planned in Canada and Europe.

Maybe I made this happen with my X RaySuperlaserMindControlBeam.
I say this because I have been thinking,
"this song Should be on the radio...Dammit" or maybe it's because it's such a great song...probably that.
