This is the first BLOG on MySpace for the OMC.  Our purpose here is simply to have "presence" online is a social setting.  The Order of the Merciful Christ (OMC) is an ecumenical religious order which is relatively new.  We welcome both men and women, married or single, from Catholic Christian denominations who are interested in Celtic Christian spirituality and wish to live according to the Rule of St. Columba (adapted for contemporary living).

Here on MySpace we all have a wonderful opportunity to share ideas, vision, dreams, and experience regarding living the Gospel life.  Here our members can do so as well. 

The concept of community has evolved as our world and opportunities have evolved particularly in these recent years as technology offers more ways to make our vast world a bit warmer and united, at least in communication.  I believe this technology is a true gift from God, and helps to compensate for the modern mobility that often separates families, friends, and religious communities by many miles.  What a wonderful way to learn from people we otherwise would never know!
