ok ok, so it was about 6 weeks ago but it was a joyful and seedy little affair, so here is what happened... better late than never right!?...
the crypt beneath take 5 in tombland in norwich was small and dark and packed and sweaty, and in the beginning it looked like this:
then a little later on, the people arrived in their tens and units to
watch CRUISER CHIMPS, one of the greatest bands to have ever
plucked a note, take to the stage like this:
the marvellous BALACLAVA KID & DAD were to perform next and
everyone agreed it was a miracle their sound could fit in such a small
hub. But fit it did, and they played like this:
THE BROWNIES. ahh the brownies. too good. so good our socks
fell to pieces and smit lost an eye. they also covered an aprons song.
it brought back memories and a lot of dancing like this:
then with too much beer and shiny new outfits we played and were
happy, like this:
and after an evening of hedonism, party bags and the best music
this side of the moon, everyone drank and danced and felt good
like this:
so a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who helped to organise this beast
and everyone who coughed up for their teenage mutant hero turtles ticket
and everyone who played and everyone who bought our single.
WE LOVE YOU ALL. probably too much.
until the next one amigos...
