It's so hard to make sense of it. What snaps in someone's mind to feel compelled to do something so horrific as what happened yesterday? What was infecting that person's conscience? My heart is straining with pain and my mind is confused as to what fuels a human being to HATE...and to hate so strongly as to kill without waivering, compassion, mercy, or forgiveness. I've gotten so angry at someone I wanted to knock them out; bruise them up a bit, but never take their life.
Is it to just accept that this is the way of the beast? The Universe is hostile and people lose they're sight of a peaceful free-will. There are so many safe outlets to release frustration and raging anger. There's ways of taming or channeling it. I just wish people would find their niche; a safe and even keel. A sacred, secret place that you may go to ease your demons. A fond memory or memories that send you to an innocent time in your life. Or a song that shamelessly touches your heart.
I'm overwhelmed right now because I know this happens all over the world. There's no escaping it because it's human nature. The struggle to survive is often filled and fueled by an envious mind. Just let it go....through my ever-changing experiences in my young life I've found whether it's a spiritual or personal feeling that love DOES conquer hate. Who are we competing with? Just let it go.
I'm gonna light a candle tonight. Play my guitar for a while, hang out with my family, call an old friend, maybe smoke a bowl. Regardless of religions, standards, or beliefs....but just because it feels right. I would encourage anyone else to do whatever they feel fit to ease their pain.
